This nearly square west Persian finely woven rustic carpet features a straw-sand field supporting a large, offset, dense, repeating pattern of rosettes, ragged octogrammes, leaves and budding sprays; panels in all. Abrshed straw strip-style main border of chains of oval cartouches. Unusual pattern overall. Well-woven, cotton foundation. From the 1880-1910 sweet spot of Sarouk weaving. Good condition.
