The modern Kashan style was established in the 1930’s with carpets such as this with a navy palmette field, red and cream medallion and semi-matching corners, and red main palmette border. Or the colours could be switched, blue for red, red for blue. Urban, central Persian work. Fine weave, cotton foundation, shortish pile. Good condition.
