Although in scatter size, this well-woven west Persian village rug displays large scale flower sprays around a central small octofoil rosette, all on dark blue and in the “American Sarouk†manner. Palmettes and rosettes in the main rose border. Leathery texture, short pile, cotton foundation. Good condition. The Mahajeran attribution is based on the blue, as opposed to red, field.
