This is an unusual medallion “Mohtasham†scatter with a mostly open, abrashed red field centred by an octofoil round medallion with small, doubled pendants. Extended corners with serrated decorations, along both sides and ends. Blue is an important secondary tone. Red main border to match with dense coverage of inward-pointing flowers. Fine weave on cotton, Winged and escutcheon pendants are uncommon. Good condition with a velvety pile.
