The navy field displays a uniform ecru curvy ogival lattice, enclosing variations on the basic quatrefoil theme, all in natural dyes. Red madder main border with reversing turtle palmettes, rosettes and lancet leaves. Medium weave. C. 1850. Classic carpet made for the early Persian Qajar market. Good condition. A genuine antique with real character.
