A navy octogramme medallion with radiating corner palmettes and a layered ecru sub-medallion centre the boldly drawn angular stems, leaves and flowers, on the stepped madder red field. Ecru corners with red quarter medallion cores. Navy rosette and twice-bent leaf strip style main border. Medium coarse weave on cotton. Very slight end reduction. Generally good condition. Unusual format from an esteemed rustic weaving regfion.
