The red field displays an attractive rendering of the Bidjar “Garrus†allover split arabesque pattern in red, cream and navy, based on a central organizing octogramme with rosette centre. Palmettes form a broken medial line. Dark blue border with reversing palmettes and oblique racemes. Plain dark blue outermost surround. Fine urban weave from the capital city in the Interwar period. Cotton foundation. Good condition.
