Oe of our extensive collection of Mohtasham Kashan pieces in scatter and room sizes, thi example is particularly attractively coloured with a madder field enclosing an natural, undyed ecru subfield enlivened by sspiraling vines and a variety of palmettes. The navy medallion has escutcheon pendanrs, Tilted ecru palmettes with light blue “wings†in the corners. Navy borer with palmettes , upright multi-posy flowers and an arcading vine. Fine weave, velvety Manchester-spun Merino wool pile for a velvety surface. Good condition.
