Signed ‘Hereke’at one end, this NW Turkish Wall hanging shows full and partial flowering trees and all manner of birds including cranes, a peacock and a rooster., on an ecru field. Semi-pictorial asymmetric style with intricate execution. Straw border with palmettes, vinery and rampant animals. All silk, with a very fine weave. How many birds are there? As new condition.
