Not East Caspian Yomud work, but from the Ersari Turkmen of Uzbekistan. In their wonted long and narrow format, the red field shows an offset pattern of minutely stepped diamonds. In fact, everything is stepped, within and outside of the diamonds. Very skinny main ecru border of compressed crosses. All wool construction, coarse/moderate weave. Good condition.
