Classic Tekke on wool with a medium-fine weave, showing a design of four columns of twelve quartered tribal guls on a red madder ground, with Kurbaghe minor guls closely fitted in. Red main border of rayed octagons and a wide variety of separator strips. Red pile end panels with three sets of three blue stripes each. “Kilim barmak†guard lines and rams’ horn minors. Good condition for this transitional, authentic Central Asian tribal piece. Not Yomud, but the more desirable Tekke.
