Knotted in both wool and silk, with a fine weave and short pile, this city kenare (runner) displays a black field with three identical, lobed and penanted ogival medallions, with supporting tracery and flowers. Stepped half side filler medallions. Main border with racemes and simple palmettes. Crossed “dogbone” medallion centres. Recent, as new condition.
