This modern, finely woven NW Persian city carpet displays a roughly lobed navy medallion decorated with copious racemes, on a salmon-roe ground, with double pendants. Cream inner conforming sub-medallion. Inner cream undulating floriated frame. Navy main border with palmettes and barbed compound crescent leaves. Very fine weave with a short, upright pile. Cotton foundation.
