A post-WWII carpet with saturated palette, but a traditional design. Red field with red medallion and stepped navy sub-medallion. Layered ragged palmette navy pendants and well-packed minor devices. Ecru stepped corners with red square inner devices. Unusual red strip-style border with five-posy elements, barbed leaves and upright full flowers. Moderate/coarse weave on cotton .NW Persian village carpet with a ruby jewel-like tonality.
