Vintage Persian Mashad. The wine-red cochineal field is centered by a navy, pendanted medallion with interior strapwork, and positioned by en-suite extended corner pieces, The background fill of all components is a close, often millefleurs pattern. Vases accent the corners. The navy border is equally dense, with reversing palmettes amid leafy and blossoming stems.
