Classic pure Farahan scatter from western Persia with a characteristically broad navy border of sunbursts and small vases, properly framing the straw-sand field with, serrated half medallions and a central open hexagon. Floret and rams’ horn pendant devices. Border was later borrowed by Mahal carpets from the same area. Medium weave. Village work on cotton, good condition.
