The red niche field shows a prominent basal vase developing a vigourous “tree of life†with gigantic oak leaves, tilted palmettes and a topmost flaming palmette finial. Lateral half cypresses. Pistachio corners. Main border of ecru floral cartouches and small escutcheons. Fine weave on cotton. SE Persian urban. Good condition. The trade calls any antique, fine weave Kerman “Lavarâ€, regardless of actual, origin.
