A definitely one-off Kashan close copy of an Ersari-Beshir prayer rug, on cotton with a fine weave. It preserves almost knot for knot, but obviously finer, the pointed inner red field, the pinched and headed cream over-niche with a dense pomegranate design, and the zig-zag spandrels with dense mosaic patterns. Royal blue border with rosettes and separator bars. A truly astounding and outstanding creation. Short, erect pile. Good condition. A bargain, too, as the originals are much pricier! Good.
