This short pile scatter foreshadows the ubiquitous Interwar red/blue/cream pieces, but here the red field shows an ivory banded outline. Similar outlining around the navy medallion. Corners, field and medallion all with same-scale rosette and palmette décor. Navy borden with rosettes. Probably a Mohtasham II rug from just after 1900. Fine weave, cotton foundation, velvety and firm surface. Good condition.
