In the higher “Serapi†grade, with a medium/moderate weave on cotton, this characteristic NW Persian village carpet shows a natural dye palette presented in the red field, navy octogramme palmette medallion and navy ragged palmette pendants , and stepped ecru corners enclosing pale blue and rust inward projecting sections. Navy strip style border of rosettes and doubly bent leaves. Cream 12-lobe inner sub-medallion. Good condition.
